Claire & Gordon got hitched!

Hello beautiful people & super fans of the shiny new Mr & Mrs Melville,

I appreciate it has been sometime since I have blogged but trust me there is no better way to restart than this truly amazing day. This is my version of events from Claire & Gordon’s day through my eyes...

As soon as I met them both I thought they were both lovely people and I knew there day was going to be such an interesting day with every nuke and cranny filled with beautiful little details, and I was not wrong at all. This day was exactly what I expected and more. Emotional moments, beautiful details, wonderful family & gorgeous guests. I knew myself and Kirsty wanted to work even harder to capture this intricate day!

We started at Claire’s family home. Everyone was helpful to let us get all the hidden gems before we jetted to the venue. My favourite is a lovely emotional first look with Dad! They both nailed this!

Meanwhile the boys were at Errol Park getting ready and of course making sure everything was running smoothly and looking mighty dapper if I do say so myself! After some modelling it was time for the cutest couple to get married.

As I stood at the front of the garden isle I watched Gordon, trying to photograph the nervousness & excitement in his face. the Isle as it was in the garden was exceptionally long, I am not sure but I think the suspense could have added some nerves BUT as soon as his bride reached him I think everything changed- Although the tears welled up in own my eyes as I photographed them seeing each other for the first time. It always gives me the squishy lovely feeling! (You’d think I’d be used to it by now - but i am still an emotional butterfly)

There wasn’t a dry eye in the house or erm, garden! Beautiful words were exchanged and lovely hymns were sung. Phew! it was time for everyone to relax! we ventured into the amazing mansion house, as the guests mingle I sneaked over to the stables, to see Stephanie, Claire & cordon's handy work! Stephanie is actually future bride of mine was the decorator for Claire's wedding and a guests! So there was some added pressure to photograph everything beautifully, there were so many adorable details we had to keep on our toes to make sure we snapped everything!. It made me even happier to get great images of her hard work.
The speeches were the perfect combination of funny, emotional & heartfelt. Then it was food time supplied by the cool & awesome 'Lazy Sunday' (click here to find out their awesome-ness) and surprise entertainment provided by the ,outstanding SOS (Secret Opera Singers) Click their LINK. Always a treat and a surprise for the guests! After the formals it was great to let the couple let go and party, which was kicked of by their first dance then joined by the wedding party and the guests. We mingled getting shots of the guest and having a great laugh with everyone!

Eventually - our feet were sore and eyes were sleepy, it was time for us to pack up. Feeling happy, Kirsty and I said our goodbyes to the newly wed Mr & Mrs Melville and all the guests we’d managed to make pals with since the morning. Upon our exit 'Lazy Sunday' kindly insisted we have some stovies for the drive home, which quite frankly topped off a perfect evening!
Can you even believe this is just a small selection of some of the images to tell a wee bit or their perfect story!

I wish Mr & Mrs Melville a very long and happy life together filled with love and happiness and I hope your album can be kept to show to generations from now. It was a privilege and we hope we did you proud! Thank you again!
