Exploring Destination and Elopement Weddings

I love working all over Scotland and also enjoy capturing destination and elopement weddings. As a destination wedding photographer, I've had the privilege of working throughout Europe, experiencing wedding traditions and cultures that are unique compared to those back home. Did you know that in Portugal, couples drink a glass of milk to symbolise their transition from childhood to adulthood? And in Italian weddings, it's customary for the cake to be decorated in front of guests as part of the reception. The cake, often resembling a trifle square, was the best wedding cake I have ever tasted—yum!

Reflecting on a Journey of Artistic Growth

Reflecting on my journey over the last 17 years, I absolutely adore the perspective of my younger self. Initially, I thought that after more than a decade of specialising exclusively in wedding photography, my passion might fade, but the opposite has happened I am more in love with my career than ever before. While I didn't always achieve perfection, I'm always learning, and she laid the foundation for where I am today, and I am very proud of that.
